Low-to-High Cable Press
The Low-to-High Cable Press mainly trains your chest and front delts. Also working: triceps and abs.
Both cables
Standing against the pull

How to do it
- Back to the machine, long split stance
- Handles beside your lower chest, elbows about 45° from your body
- Press forward and up at an angle to eye level
- Return slowly, chest stays up
Coach’s tip
The standing alternative to the incline bench. The pull comes from behind and below and tips you into an arched lower back: ribs down, back leg straight and driving into the floor. Beyond about a third of your body weight, it gets unstable.
Setup
Pulley
Both pulleys at hip height
Grip
Single handles
Load
Both cables
Needs two cable towers
Stability
Standing against a horizontal pull. The weight you can use is limited by how well you stay in place.

Alternatives
Other exercises for the same movement (incline press). In DCFT you can swap with one tap, and the app only offers what your equipment allows.
Questions about this exercise
What muscles does the Low-to-High Cable Press work?
Mainly the chest and front delts. The triceps and abs help.
How do I set up the cable machine for the Low-to-High Cable Press?
Pulley: Both pulleys at hip height. Grip: Single handles.
Can I do the Low-to-High Cable Press on a single cable tower?
Not like this. The Low-to-High Cable Press needs both cables at once, so two towers. If you set up DCFT for one tower, the app leaves it out of your plan and uses exercises such as Cable Landmine Press and Dumbbell Bench Press instead.
What can I do instead of the Low-to-High Cable Press?
For the same movement: Incline Cable Press, Cable Landmine Press and Cable Bench Press. In DCFT you swap with one tap.
