Standing Hip Flexor Stretch
Standing Hip Flexor Stretch is part of the guided warm-up and cool-down in DCFT.
Hold for time

How to do it
- Take a big step forward, one hand on the frame
- Lift the back heel, squeeze the glute on the back leg
- Tuck your pelvis under and push your hips forward and down
- Hold where you feel the stretch at the front of the hip: then switch sides
Coach’s tip
The no-kneeling version. If you sit a lot, you’ll feel it right away. Don’t let your lower back arch: the squeezed glute is what creates the stretch.
